Virtual Colonoscopy is a CT procedure that examines the lining of your colon (large intestine) for abnormalities, including polyps and tumors. Unlike classical colonoscopy, virtual colonoscopy does not require sedation, and there are no injections needed. Virtual colonoscopy is geared to screening for colon cancer and should be performed every five years beginning at age 45 years.

VIRTUAL COLONOGRAPHYAppointment Preparation

Please call if you have any questions or are unable to keep your appointment.

Have you informed us;

If you have any allergies?
If you are a diabetic?
If you are on dialysis?

If any of these apply to you, please call us.

DAY 1

  • In the morning take one 10oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate (CITROMA) and 3 Dulcolax tablets.
  • Eat a liquid breakfast.
  • Eat boil fish for lunch WITHOUT potatoes or bread or grits
  • Eat a liquid dinner
  • Drink LOTS of fluid to prevent getting dehydrated. 

DAY 2

  • In the morning take ONE 10oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate (CITROMA) and 3 Dulcolax tablets.
  • Eat a liquid breakfast PLUS one bottle of TAGITOL
  • Eat boil fish for lunch WITHOUT potatoes or bread or grits
  • Eat a liquid dinner PLUS one bottle of TAGITOL
  • Drink LOTS of fluid to prevent getting dehydrated. 

DAY 3

  • Have your study done.
